This is a competitive grant program designed to support flood-prone communities in implementing transformative green infrastructure projects that combat the effects of extreme weather. Governor Kathy Hochul has committed $60 million to the next round. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on August 15, 2025. 

EFC held a webinar on May 21 to share information about this round and how to apply. A recording on YouTube is available below. 

EFC uses an online application. The grant application certification form that is available below must be downloaded, signed by the highest elected official or the authorized representative for the applicant, and submitted via the online application. Projects previously awarded a grant through the Green Innovation Grant Program are not eligible for GRG funding.
