No out-of-pocket costs for municipalities to participate
Asset management is a process that municipalities can use to effectively manage infrastructure investments. It includes defined procedures to inventory, assess, and track infrastructure throughout its lifecycle, improving its longevity and supporting municipal planning.
Municipalities that are selected to participate in this program work directly with an engineering firm to develop and implement an Asset Management Plan (AMP). There are no out-of-pocket costs to the municipalities for participating in the program.
How to Participate
This program is offered in partnership with the state Department of Environmental Conservation. EFC hires an engineering consultant to serve as program advisor, and DEC solicits participating municipalities.
