Overview

The utilization of iron and steel products that are produced in the United States is required for projects that meet all of the following conditions:

  1. The project is for the construction, alteration, maintenance, or repair of a public water system or treatment works;
  2. The project is funded in whole or in part with assistance through either the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (“CWSRF”) or the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (“DWSRF”) pursuant to a financial assistance agreement with the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation (“EFC”) executed after January 17, 2014; and
  3. The project plans and specifications were not submitted for review by a New York State agency before January 17, 2014 and approved by that agency before April 15, 2014.
