American Iron and Steel 

The utilization of iron and steel products that are produced in the United States is required for projects that meet all the following conditions:

1. The project is for the construction, alteration, maintenance, or repair of a public water system or treatment works;
2. The project is funded in whole or in part with assistance through either the Clean Water State Revolving Fund or the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund pursuant to a financial assistance agreement with EFC.

Build America, Buy America

The utilization of iron and steel products, manufactured products, and construction materials that are produced in the United States is required for projects that meet all the following conditions:

1. The project is for the construction, alteration, maintenance, or repair of a public water system or treatment works;
2. The project is identified in the Intended Use Plan as an Equivalency Project that is receiving State Revolving Fund assistance such as a loan or a grant, regardless of whether a state grant was also received; and
3. The project is funded in whole or in part with assistance through either the Clean Water State Revolving Fund or the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund pursuant to a financial assistance agreement with EFC executed after May 14, 2022.
