Step-By-Step Support Helping You Access State & Federal Funding For Your Community’s Project
Does your community have water quality infrastructure that is outdated or in need of repair? Is your community experiencing issues with its drinking water system? Not sure where to start? EFC’s Community Assistance Teams can help you access state and federal funding to address your water infrastructure needs. Working with partner agencies, the teams help communities throughout New York State plan projects, submit funding applications, and see their projects through to completion. Through accelerated efforts, communities are not only receiving tailored guidance to accelerate projects and navigate funding processes – they are also seeing real results.

- 54 Events Attended in 2026 EFC participates in a variety of on-site and virtual conferences and events.
- 1,500 Communities Directly Engaged in 2026 The Teams target communities that do not currently have water infrastructure projects funded by the State.
Cybersecurity Support
EFC expanded its financial and technical assistance to include cybersecurity support for drinking water and wastewater systems. EFC's Cybersecurity Hub provides information about the SECURE Cybersecurity Grant Program, training opportunities, recommended actions, and additional resources. Communities can continue to request a one-on-one consultation with the Teams about their water infrastructure needs, now including cybersecurity.
